Standards

Editorial Policy

ByteScope is built on quality over quantity. This page states the standards every article must meet before it is published.

Sourcing

Claims are traced to a primary source wherever one exists: documentation, filings, specifications, measured results or named people. Secondary reporting is credited and linked. Where a claim cannot be verified, the article says so.

Review before publication

  • Every article is checked for factual accuracy against its sources.
  • Technical explanations are reviewed for clarity as well as correctness.
  • Reviews are based on hands-on use, and the testing method is described.

Corrections

Errors are corrected promptly and the correction is noted on the article along with the updated date. We do not quietly rewrite published claims.

Independence and conflicts of interest

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers and affiliate partners. Review samples, when accepted, never come with conditions on coverage, and their provenance is disclosed in the article.

Use of automation

ByteScope records how each article was produced. Any use of automated tooling in research or drafting is subject to the same sourcing, fact-checking and human review requirements as any other article, and nothing is published without editorial review.

Images

Every image carries alternative text, and a caption and credit where a source applies. We do not publish images without a clear licence or source.
